It doesn’t have to be complicated or stressful and the simplest way forward is often the best.

We provide services in the following areas –

Complete List of Services

  • Health Check – – our health check service is free, does precisely what it says and involves us setting out our recommendations for your business.
  • Impact – Business Impact Analysis is about identifying critical and non-critical activities in your business so that resources can be applied where they are most needed should a major incident occur.
  • Risk – risks are everywhere. A business continuity project will look at risk specifically in the context of your business activities. We offer use of our Monte Carlo risk modeller to evaluate broader risks that your business can be exposed to.
  • Strategy – execution of the BIA will enable us to help you set your business continuity strategy to enable recovery from a major problem in an acceptable timescale.
  • Planning – we give you the benefit of best practice and help you formulate your business continuity plan, which sets out what needs to be done to get your business up and running again if a major problem happens.
  • Testing – everyone involved with your business continuity plan must fully understand it and be able to put it into practice. This is best embedded by us facilitating scenario based testing, which can include IT disaster recovery testing.
  • Maintenance – a business continuity management system needs to be kept up-to-date. Not all organisations have the resource to keep on top of this and so we offer a fully managed service, usually on a 3 year basis. Clients are increasingly outsourcing internal audits, management reviews and supplier audits
  • Standards – Biscon can assist with clients seeking certification to ISO 22301 for Business Continuity and/or to ISO/IEC 27001:2005, the industry best practice information security standard.
  • Training – ensuring that Incident Management Team members are trained in their roles and responsibilities and use of the Business Continuity Plan when responding to incidents.
  • Awareness & Embedding – raising awareness of Business Continuity throughout the organisation and inclusion as part of the induction process for new staff.
  • Supply Chain Resilience – review of organisations supply chain which includes use of electronic questionnaires and one-to-one interviews to reduce the likelihood of supply chain failure.
