Longhurst Group

Longhurst Group initially engaged Biscon to complete a Gap Analysis of the organisations Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and facilitate a desktop exercise for members of the Incident Management Team. Following this, the Group signed up for additional support from Biscon for the continual improvement of the Group’s BC programme. This included the need to update its BCMS to reflect operational changes and organisational developments – most notably a merger of four housing associations which now make up Longhurst Group.

Rachel Challinor, Director of Governance, Performance and Compliance made the following comments “Longhurst Group have worked with Biscon over the last 12 months to completely revamp and update its business continuity plan. The Group covers a wide geographical area and offers a range of services to so have the expertise of Steve Lambert to support us was key.

Steve also supported the Group with its annual testing of the plan. This session was great, the right mix of attention to the plan but whilst delivering this in a relaxed and calm manner.

Steve later then attended a Group Board Member training session on the plan; again his professional but friendly manner was well received; hitting the right level in terms of content and assurance.
